Ballooning is a tag team sport.
Since your landing sites vary according to the wind speed and direction. The flight team will depend on the ground team, to stay in constant radio contact, and meet you to switch roles or pack up the balloon when the day is done.
Because the balloon moves the same speed as the wind, there is no feeling of movement. The feeling is that a balloon is standing still while the landscape moves smoothly beneath you. We recommend to only fly when winds are ten miles an hour or less. The length of your balloon ride is now completely up to you, well really it is still up to the wind and remember, your ground team is still your best way home.
We like to stay within 500 feet of the ground. You can see more that way. Sometimes we fly at treetop level where passengers can actually pick the fruit from the trees.
If you are afraid of heights ballooning will probably not bother you. There is no physical connection between the earth and the balloon as there is in a tall building. This complete freedom seems to alleviate the apprehension of most passengers.
To get the most enjoyment from your flight, wear comfortable, casual clothes. Women should wear slacks and low-heeled shoes. Although it is not noticeably cooler when flying, you may want to bring along a sweater for cool mornings.
A tranquil adventure awaits you, year after year. You can exchange with another owner even from another RV category through our ExchangeShare network.
